NYsoundCircuit Welcomes Jaime Iglehart as the New Visual and Performance Art Curator

Jaime Iglehart, who was one of the artists featured in NYsoundCircuit 7.1: “Renegade” will be joining the curation team as the Visual and Performance Art Curator. She will manage the booking of visual and performance artists for NYsoundCircuit events. Here is more information about Jaime:

Jaime Iglehart explores dreamscapes and the line between imagination and concrete world-building. Her projects involve socially engaged ‘play,’ utopian fantasy and highly personal iconography. Jaime's methodology is deskilled and experimental, incorporating any and all media, with an undercurrent of social sculpture running through all of her work. She is currently a professor of Visual Narrative in the Digital Design Department at CUNY Hostos in the Bronx. Past residencies include Platform AIR (Finland), Center for Contemporary Art (Ukraine), Flux Factory (New York), and Habitable Spaces (Texas). She is the founder and lead organizer of Utopia School. In 2021, she joined the curatorial team of NYsoundCircuit as the Visual and Performance Art Curator, where she designs the visual and performance art components on NYsoundCircuit shows.
