NYsoundCircuit 2019 Call for Scores

Resonant Refractions, the resident ensemble of NYsoundCircuit, a multimedia salon series, is calling for scores for the February 1, 2020 show at the Flux Factory in Long Island City, NYC.
· Submissions must be received electronically by November 30, 2019, 11:59pm. Decisions will be made by December 15, 2019.
· Send submissions to: nysoundcircuit@gmail.com.
· The works should be 6-15 minutes, scored for a mixed ensemble of 4-8 performers (no less or no more). Instrumentation available: 1 flute, 1 oboe, 1 clarinet, 1 bassoon, 1 horn, 1 trumpet, 1 trombone, 1 percussion, 2 violin, 1 viola, 1 ‘cello, 1 bass. No keyboard instruments or vocalists at this time.
· The work must not be commercially published.
· Any work, aside from the commercially published restriction, is eligible, regardless of whether it has previously received a performance or an award. NYsoundCircuit does not encourage composers to write specifically for this call, however.
· There are no age, gender, or geographic restrictions for submitting.
· If your work is selected, we would love for you to attend NYsoundCircuit, but at this time we cannot provide travel or lodging accommodations.
· Submission Materials: PDF of the score only. The score must include the title of the piece, instrumentation, and the composer’s name. Send the PDF score to nysoundcircuit@gmail.com with the heading “NYsoundCircuit 2019 Call for Scores SUBMISSION”.
